Inside the Bootcamp, your teen will learn how to confidently solve:
One-Step Equations: Addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division — the foundation for everything.
Multi-Step Equations with the Distributive Property: Variables on both sides, constants on both sides, variables and constants on both sides, distributive property - you learn it all!
Multi-Step Equations with Fractions & Decimals: Learn clean, methodical processes and WHY they work, so nothing feels “messy” or overwhelming. Gain the confidence you always wanted when dealing with fractions!
Multi-Step Equations with Exponents Short, friendly lessons that explain why exponents change the order of operations — and how to handle them without confusion.
Putting It All Together Students test their skills with mixed practice and real problem-solving strategies, along with some challenging equations to test their critical thinking skills.
Each lesson includes a short written explanation + practice problems so students can learn and apply immediately.
This bootcamp is ideal for students in 6th–9th grade, depending on readiness. It works as a bridge from Pre-Algebra to Algebra 1 or as a confidence-boosting review for older students.
Most students can complete the bootcamp in 1–4 weeks, working 30-40 minutes a day. But you have lifetime access, so your child can review anytime.
No — this is a focused, skill-specific bootcamp designed to master equations. It pairs perfectly with any Pre-Algebra or Algebra 1 program.
Not yet — the lessons are simple, written explanations with illustrations that your child can easily follow. (Videos may be added later; you’ll get access automatically if/when they’re uploaded.)
Yes! The lessons are intentionally short, clear, and student-friendly. Most students can work through it on their own.
Answer keys are included so you can spot-check quickly — no heavy lifting required.
“Highly recommend! A math teacher that actually makes sense! I finally feel confident in my math skills."
— Hannah
"This was the BEST explanation, thank you again for the video and notes!! It has been so long since I had Algebra and it was a great refresher for me! {My daughter} caught on and flew through the assignment, then explained some to me, lol. Her exact words were, “Mrs. Holman explains this WAY better than Mrs. ______!!”

Hey Friends! My name is Carolyn Holman, and I’m the teacher behind Mrs. Holman’s Classroom. I am a certified math teacher with a Bachelor’s in Mathematics and a Master’s in Teaching, and I have been teaching and/or tutoring (both online and in person) for the last 12+ years! My specialty is inspiring students to learn to love (or at least like!) math and learning. I especially love teaching Algebra and making all those crazy abstract concepts concrete and understandable. My teaching is always student-centered and focused on WHY math works and exploring patterns, rather than just formulas to memorize with no real understanding of why they work. I love seeing the lightbulb go off in students’ heads when they understand a concept, and I look forward to seeing that in your student too!
